Keep your website free of clutter. I know this is an easy one, but I can’t tell you how many websites that I visit that display disorganized information. Some are just complete chaos. So keep your website clean and information well organized.
Clear and Concise
Be sure that your navigation is clear and concise and that your target audience understands the titles that you use for links. These are text or other links that get them to each page. Many website owners try to be clever and use titles that visitors don’t understand. Doing this can alienate your prospects, and they’ll simply go somewhere else.
Use landing pages
A landing page is a page that’s focused on content that’s relevant only to your campaign. If your advertising a special on any one of your products or services, then drive your traffic to a page specifically designed for that special.
Sending your prospects to your main site page will lose continuity with your offer and will not convert your prospects to a lead or sale. Always use landing pages for this purpose.
Call to Action
Use a call to action a (CTA) or several for that matter. A call-to-action can be as simple as a button that asks the prospect to call or email or enter information on a form. If you’re not asking for the sale, your less likely to get it.
Search Engine Optimization
Use solid search engine optimization (SEO) practices and be sure to adjust your SEO to respond to algorithm shifts as needed. Optimizing your SEO according to your conversation goals can make a huge difference in your organic sales. SEO can be complicated, so if you’re not sure how to accomplish it, hire an expert to help.
Test everything!
Test different variations of your landing pages to see if one version works better than another. Slight changes to images or copy can make a huge difference in how a page pulls for you.
